The sections below are provided as background on all signature edition prints. If there is an image you see that is not currently listed as a print, please inquire. I would be happy to work with you to meet your needs.
Brooklyn Editions
Signed, museum-quality prints are produced for me by Brooklyn Editions, New York City. Every print I sign is prepared under the expertise of Brooklyn Editions' Master Printmaker, Stephen Scott Gross. My partnership with Brooklyn Editions allows me to realize fine art editions of exceptional quality.
My Process
A fine art photographic print exhibits unique, light-giving properties. It is not merely a facsimile of an image from a computer display. It can be held, contemplated. A fine art print enlivens its surroundings.
Only a few of the photos I create reach the final print stage. For each edition, an intensive development period culminates in an archival work. Great attention is paid to shooting, selection, subtleties of materials and printing capacities.
The print assembly, created in partnership with a Master Printmaker, helps determine these choices. It may be helpful to imagine my signature prints as something of a cross between a painting and a photograph. It is the process itself -- image, material, assembly -- that creates a unified statement. This integrity allows the work to issue forth its greatest light for you.
Hahnemuehle FineArt GmbH
Hahnemühle FineArt GmbH has been producing fine art papers in Dassel, Germany since 1584. Brooklyn Editions is one of very few print studios in North America to be designated a Certified Hahnemühle Studio. This ensures all production steps, through to the final print, meet exceptional standards.

Paper Selections
Papers are chosen to best enhance the unique properties of each series. As new papers are selected for upcoming editions, they will be listed here.
-Hahnemühle Photo Rag Bright White 310, a 100% rag paper with a fine tooth and heavy weight. A bright white point and special coatings combine to reproduce remarkable contrast and color range for a matte surface.
-Hahnemühle Photo Silk Baryta 310. This heavy, alpha-cellulose paper is very similar to old silver halide papers. It exhibits an elegant sparkle and shimmer, with exceptional clarity. Photo Silk Baryta 310 retains its shimmering properties across a variety of mountings and is suitable for unframed prints.
Limited Editions
Limited Editions represent the most rigorous work I create in the medium. These comprise numbered, finite series to create work of enduring value and consistency. All Limited Edition printing is supervised by the Master Printmaker.
Limited Edition prints are numbered within their series: "1/5" denotes print number one of an edition of five; "2/5," print two of five, etc. Image size (fine art papers) scales slightly smaller than mat window to allow a relief or "float" area.
An Artist's Proof ("A/P") is designated as part of the Limited Edition, as well as a Printer's Proof ("P/P"), issued at the artist's discretion. Limited Editions are also available for purchase on my Saatchi Art page (opens in separate window):
"Inquiry" buttons for pricing and availability are provided for each available print. I treat all Limited Editions as custom orders.
Titles and Notation
For me, a title sets a piece’s intent or flow of energy, not unlike a titled poem or suite. Titles are often accompanied by brief texts regarding the print and its respective associations. As I was trained as a poet, these texts register the images within a field of personal association and touchstones.
Titles and notation can be found by clicking the “i” (“info”) icon, located in the top right corner of a photo on desktops. On mobile, click the menu drop-down icon, located in the top right corner of an image.
Certificate of Authenticity
Signature Editions are authenticated with the proprietary Hahnemühle holographic certification system. One serially-numbered hologram is affixed to the back of a signed print; an identically-paired hologram is affixed to an included Certificate of Authenticity. The holograms include both visible and invisible anti-forgery features.

Frames and Mounting
UV or Museum Glass are recommended materials for archival purposes. Please contact me for custom-tailored, Limited Edition framing. I would be happy to work with you, in collaboration with the Master Printmaker, to enlighten your space.
Care and Preservation
Fine art prints should not be exposed to direct sunlight, nor placed in environments with high moisture content or temperatures. Unfavorable environments can degrade archival inks, paper and materials over time. If stored properly in dedicated containers, archival prints can be kept in cool, dry areas for over 100 years without degradation.
Care must be taken in the handling of fine art prints. Nitrile or white cotton gloves are recommended. Often the best option is to have a professional framer mount and frame your print with care.
Shipping and Insurance
Limited Editions are treated as custom orders. These usually take 1-2 weeks preparation time. Please allow a few extra days' production time for orders placed during non-business or holiday periods. If you require expedited service, please contact me. We will do whatever possible to accommodate your needs.
Packaging
Most prints ship in fine art tubes or custom packaging as required.
*Note: For Limited Editions, in the unlikely case of shipping damage or errors, your piece will be replaced with the next, numbered print in the Edition.

My Signature Editions are created with an intention to bring light into your life. If, after receiving your print, you do not feel it meets your expectations, please contact me. So long as a print is returned in its original condition, a refund may be arranged.
