Pantagruel's Eye (Reversal Rabelais)
Multiple exposure reversals recall F. Rabelais' Renaissance masterwork, "Les Cinq livres des faits et dits de Gargantua et Pantagruel (1532)," tr. "Gargantua and Pantagruel." Site-specific sculpture -- via expressive layering and inversions -- becomes neural sight imprint. Bleeding color tints saturate the translucent, X-ray field composition. Per Pantagruel's characteristic focus on bodily expression, a vivid visual statement bodies forth.
