Planète Spectrale (L.E.S. à Go-Go)
Photographic and hand-painted layers of walls and windows in downtown Manhattan's Lower East Side (L.E.S.) recombine into a spectral statement piece. The multi-planar, neon-tinged forms suggest the psychedelic celluloid light show accompaniments of late-60's multimedia concerts, like The Pink Floyd in London's Soho, or Andy Warhol's The Velvet Underground in downtown loft spaces of New York City. A monumental, mixed media Limited Edition.
Part of the Inkbile series: gritty, grotty, ultra-saturated textural impressions of the neon city.
